Born in S. Margherita Ligure on 27/11/1961. He starts playing golf in 1970 at the age of 9 under the guidance of his father, a famous golf pro of the '60s and '70s. He profitably attends the secondary school and successfully passes the final examination in 1980. He enrols in the Business economics faculty at the University of Genoa, but after a dozen exams he decides to devote all his efforts to golf and in november 1984 he becomes a golf pro. The professional career turns out to be much more difficult than he thought and so he decides to enrol at the David Leadbetter golf school, which he attends for about eight years. This experience represents a major turning point in his career. Over that period of time, which goes from 1988 to 1994, he plays on the European Tour in the categories 12 and 14, wins four Italian Championships and gets some good placing in other tournaments. Starting from 1995 he decides to compete exclusively in pro-ams and competitions in Italy. He also cooperates with several facilities, some of which are specialized in the practice of golf indoor. Over the last few years he has developed a real passion for economics and financial markets and in 2002 he even wrotes a book published by Casa Editrice Borsari.
